Drink ginger tea during these weeks of, uhh, overindulgence. As we head into the holidays. If you are eating, more than usual, when you wake up in the morning feeling like that overstuffed chair in grandma’s living room, don’t follow it up with French toast for breakfast; try sipping ginger tea until your stomach feels normal again. Ginger tea is warming during these winter months and it helps improve digestion and remove toxins.
Ginger root is an inexpensive food item that you can add to soups, stews, casseroles, etc. For tea, I break off a tiny piece, about the size of a small tootsie roll, and chop it up very small, then add it to boiling water and let it steep for at least twenty minutes. I put mine in a two quart glass jar so that I can add it to a cup of tea as I need it, reheat, and drink. Yummmm!
Best of Health,
