Don’t let fear Hold You Back From Enjoying Group Fitness Classes!
Some people that I’ve talked with who I know would enjoy my Pilates or Yoga classes hesitate to join a group classes. They are self-conscious about working out in front of others, or worry they won’t be able to keep up.
Don’t let that be YOU!
Group classes can be so much fun, and a great way to connect with others who are over 50, while working towards the common goal of aging with grace and strength! I have found that most people are in my classes for both fun and fitness, and guess what? No one is doing the exercises perfectly! Everyone is focused on trying to keep up themselves, so no worries about being watched!
The Many Benefits of Group Classes:
✅ Consistency & Accountability – Stay committed to your own fitness goals.
✅ Variety & Enjoyment – A mix of exercises in a social setting makes working out fun.
✅ Proper Technique – Following an instructor ensures you’re doing movements safely and effectively.
✅ Personalized Support – Get modifications, ask questions, and receive valuable tips for your home practice.
✅ Brain Health Boost – Social connection and learning new skills stimulate neuron growth, keeping your brain sharp.
✅ Functional Strength – Classes focus on targeted exercise routines that help with daily tasks like walking and getting up and down from the floor.
It’s much easier to stay motivated when your work-out is enjoyable, exercises are varied, and you are surrounded by supportive people who share your fitness goals. And once you notice the improvement in your strength – body, mind, and spirit – you’ll be glad you took that first step.
