Today is another cold one in the Berkshires. Makes me wish I could become a snowbird and migrate South for the winter…
Join me at Sugar Hill Assisted Living Community in Dalton, MA on Feb 3rd at 5:30 for an author discussion/workshop. If you’re in the area, I’d love to see you – come on down! I’ll be discussing how to “Age With Grace and Strength,” demonstrating a few exercises from the book, and will have some books with me for purchase. Tasting some delicious anti-inflammatory food is also on the schedule.
There will be more of these events soon, as I’m in the process of setting them up, so stay tuned for more details. If you already purchased my book and would like it signed, bring it along!
Exciting News: New Video Series Coming!
Today, I’m announcing a new video series I’m recording, which will be posted in my YouTube channel. This series is for anyone who feels like there just aren’t enough hours in the day to get everything done—especially exercising!
Each video is approximately five minutes long, and features exercises from my bestselling book, Age With Grace And Strength. If you can’t seem to find time for a 30-minute workout, try fitting in a couple of these quick, powerful, five-minute exercise sessions throughout your day. Even just one for now would be a great place to begin!
Science has shown that stopping for short exercise bursts a few times a day is just as effective as squeezing in that longer 30-minute workout which you never seem to fit in. Not only do these short bursts help you build muscle and increase flexibility, but you’ll find that you are more energized after each session!
The below video is the first one in this series. It focuses on an exercise that quickly builds muscle in your legs, improves knee strength and flexibility, and gets your heart pumping. I have added an advanced option that targets arm strength at the same time, perfect for anyone who is looking for a more challenging option.
This exercise is a great example of how to get the most out of your short exercise bursts throughout your day. Try it and let me know what you think!
While you’re on my YouTube channel, be sure to like and subscribe so you’ll be notified when new videos are posted. I plan to upload another one of these 5-minute workouts each week!
Thanks for being part of this journey, and I look forward to seeing you soon—either at Sugar Hill or through the video series!
Best of Health,
Kathi
